Rawlplug - Driving Customer Value through the Web

The Challenge

Artex Rawlplug is a leading manufacturer of interior decorative products, fixings and tools for DIY, trade and construction markets. Rawlplug supply a complex range of anchor fixing products to the construction market which are selected by Structural and Civil Engineers during their design process. Traditionally servicing this market has either resulted in high sales costs or has required customers to develop a high level of expertise in what is essentially a very complex product range. As part of the repositioning of the Rawlplug brand as a market innovator and to ensure a more customer focused sales strategy, Rawlplug approached 2Sys to redesign their anchor calculator.

The Solution

The solution delivered by 2Sys ensured value was added to the end customer through the development of two specific elements in the customer website interface; the anchor calculator and a resource centre that allows customers to access detailed product specifications and CAD drawings.

The Benefits

The initial feedback from both Rawlplug and its customers has been very positive. The 2Sys anchor calculator has enabled Rawlplug to provide a simple customer interface that removes the need for extensive product knowledge from customers. This has increased their ability to include the product range in their design specifications, meeting the original project objectives.
