UNISON - Effective Management of Employment Disputes

The Challenge

UNISON is Britain's biggest trade union with more than 1.3 million members in the public sector. UNISON wanted to replace their aging case management tracking system with a new UK wide, integrated solution to manage employment cases more effectively.

The Solution

UNISON engaged 2Sys to develop and deliver a bespoke case management solution which could be rapidly implemented across a high number of users. Our first step was to work closely with UNISON to define the requirements and understand the business processes involved in employment case management before developing a design and development specification. The 2Sys solution, CASE, combines workflow, document and knowledge management and is based on market leading software from Visualfiles.

The Benefits

The 2Sys CASE solution was implemented rapidly across all 600 users in the UK. Its integration with MS Outlook™ has minimised training time for users and the reporting functionality has increased the ability to manage and understand the case profile across the UK. CASE has successfully integrated with UNISON's existing systems and has had a positive impact on delivering more effective member services.
